National Card & Letter Writing Month

National Card & Letter Writing Month

Friends,

It’s National Card & Letter Writing Month and while you may not be the type to collect stickers, washi, pens, and cards in every color, shape, and form, the beauty of this month is that it doesn’t require any of the excess. Our love of the handwritten note goes straight back to the heart of why we exist: to create a more beautiful and connected world. Some of my earliest and most palpable memories of love were collected in a shoebox - my grandmother’s birthday cards we (each of her 13 grandchildren) would receive year after year. Even as a little girl, I was always so moved by her thoughtfulness, the gift of her time and effort to walk to the closest grocery store, peruse the aisles to find just the card, and check out at the counter as someone who spoke very little English.

What we do this month is an act of resistance in an ever changing, fast-paced, disconnected world - slowing down, taking time to put pen to paper, remembering that we need one another to flourish. Throughout the month we’ll be sending prompts and ideas through our newsletters to keep us in the spirit of togetherness so stay tuned!

For the love of the handwritten note,
for the love of our people,
Pat
