Keep Going

Keep Going

We rang in the new year in a lovely carriage house in Yosemite, hearts full and feet aching. Somehow, the cure to an 8-year old’s mild tantrum coming down the mountain after a four-mile hike to see The Grizzly Giant (“my feet hurt so bad!”) was a two-hour stint ice skating the next day.

And while she didn’t quite appreciate the fullness of seeing a 2900 year old tree, I’m trusting that a seed’s been planted in her little heart and will continue to take root. When life throws its best pitches, perhaps she’ll swing with the perseverance it took to continue trekking through the rises and falls of the earth when her legs felt like caving in; that because she kept going, she remembers inhaling the deep satisfaction of reaching what we set out to do.

My goal this year is to capture these moments in a way that perhaps will help you, too. Words are some of the most powerful gifts we have and it takes just a few of them to change the entire course of our lives - I’m sorry, I love you, I see you, me too. So today, it’s keep going. We’ve sized these so you can download them as wallpaper for your phone (personal use only, please!). To a new year, catching glimpses of the words we need.
