Easter News Around the World

The Beat

Happy Monday, all!

We hope you had an amazing Easter weekend with family and friends. We celebrate Easter because of the glory of Christ's victory, but it’s always interesting to see the ongoings around the world over this holiday weekend. While some stories are lighthearted and amusing, others are so incredibly heartbreaking. Clinging to the amazing truth that joy comes in the morning.

  1. PEZ cancels its third annual Easter Egg hunt because of some rowdy parents!

  2. A delicious egg salad recipe for all those leftover eggs.

  3. Can you believe Easter beats Halloween in candy sales? By just a hair!

  4. An Indian priest was reportedly crucified by ISIS on Good Friday, though there has yet to be confirmation. Our prayers are with him.

  5. A Easter bombing in Pakistan. Events like this remind us that this holiday is not simply about eggs and bunnies and baskets.

Despite some of the heaviness, we hope your weekend was filled with family + festivities and that Easter’s message of hope leaves you rejuvenated for the days ahead :)
