Fries, Federal Inmates, & The Power of B+W

Happy Friday, everyone! We hope you’re having a fantastic start to February.

Currently: We’ve got lots going on in the studio because we know Spring will spring (ha!) before we know it. We’ve been spending our days photo shooting, tradeshow prepping, creative brainstorming, partnership planning, and product developing.

 This week, we’re…

  • Feasting on these loaded guacamole sweet potato fries, the perfect game day munchies. We love sweet potato fries and we love guac, so we’re pretty sure this recipe by The Healthy Maven will be a big heap of deliciousness - and we love that it’s super healthy to boot! We’ll be making (and promptly inhaling!) these fries this Sunday for our Super Bowl festivities.
  • Reflecting on Humans of New York’s current stories of inmates in federal prisons across the Northeast. HONY offers tiny soundbites of these individuals’ pasts, just a few powerful sentences about family members they’re missing or how they ended up behind bars, but it’s so poignant to catch a glimpse of their humanness.

  • Inspired by the simplicity and power of black and white. Color wouldn’t be as vibrant without seeing the work that the absolute inclusion and exclusion of it does.

We hope your Super Bowl weekend is filled with family + friends, food, and festivities!
