Happiest Friday, everyone! We hope you've all had a fantastic week.
Currently: Swimming along. Sometimes the steady hum of a non-erratic work week is the best kind of tune :)
Feasting on this “fake shack burger” as we anticipate Shake Shack’s Los Angeles debut this Spring - and with an exclusive LA burger, no less! We’ll forever and always be loyal to our native In-N-Out (sorry, east coasters), but totally appreciate a good burger when we see one. This recipe by Smitten Kitchen looks amazingly close to the original, and in Deb’s own words, requires “zero special tools or fancy ingredients.” Score!
Reflecting on the evolution of Barbie and Mattel’s unveiling of its new diverse dolls, which are available in three new body types (tall, curvy, and petite) and an array of skin tones, eye colors, and hairstyles that “are more reflective of the world [girls] see today.” We love this!
One mama kept it real on Twitter: “Look. Here's why curvy @Barbie matters to me: I tell my daughters my body is normal, all bodies are normal, but their dolls don't back me up.” Amen, sister.
- Inspired by ceramics! We’d love, love to dabble in ceramics one day. For now, we’re taking in all the goodness at Studio Arhoj, a Denmark-based interior and design studio. From their pots to their cups and everything in between, they’ve nailed the beauty of simplicity.
And just like that, the sun sets on January. We hope your weekend is lovely :)
